When & Where will we hold
Seminar #3?
Judging the success of our
first two seminars
there will be a third,
but where?
We are currently looking for alternative sites, hopefully North and South Florida, to begin the process of regionalizing the seminars. If your church would like to be considered to host a seminar, please contact us.
Sincerely,
Michael Stasiak

SEMINAR #1 COMMENTS (Aug 23,2008)
Hi, I am Chuck Ray and I attended the food seminar you put on several weeks ago. Must say it was the fastest 5 hours I ever seen go by. Thank you for taking the time to do it.
Please send me the recipes fro the following:
Carrot soufflé
Bread pudding
Cole slaw
Punch
Thank you again for all. Hi Mike, I would just like to say thanks for including me in your Kitchen Operations Seminar last Saturday. I attended along with the lady who prepares the Wednesday dinners here at FUMC Bradenton & we both thought it was a day well spent! Pastor Tom & I are discussing new ideas for the food program here & he asked me to find out about your coffee service. He said it was a high-quality, cost-efficient method to provide beverages. So, any information you could share with me about how you do coffee would be much appreciated! Have a wonderful holiday weekend, Cindy Thurmond Business Manager FUMC Bradenton Cindy We use US Foodservice as our main food supplier and they provide our coffee service, including all equipment. We have had good luck with thi=eir service agents as well. Mike, The four of us from First UMC send you and your group salvos for our Saturday’s very worthwhile conference. Thank you for visioning and beginning these conversations of education. I am staff in charge of you name it which includes all aspects of hospitality; the others who serve with me are volunteers extraordinaire. We were able to glean ideas and information which will be applicable to us. Thanks to you, your helpers and First Lakeland for your hospitality and creative workshop plus the delicious food! (It is always wonderful to be back at my Lakeland church which had great influence on my life. The tears I shed while there are tears of joy mixed with sadness as I miss that great church.) Donna Maynard Director of Ministries FUMC Sarasota Thanks for your participation, Mike, Thanks so much for a great day on Saturday. The food was great, I would like the recipes for the salad dressings, carrot souffle and bread pudding. I thought you did a good job of letting us know how much we are valued as kitchen workers. Food is a huge ministry in churches. I talked to you a little bit at the end and you said there is no organized support in the Methodist Church. Do you think there is a possibility of a full or part time paid position to do this outreach? Dear Michael, Thanks, Mike Michael Stasiak,
Just a quick note that I regretfully have to miss this weekend's seminar. Tropical storm Fay is slowly moving towards Tallahassee and it would not be wise to travel in this weather! I was SO looking forward to this seminar as I know it will be beneficial to many of us. Thank you for the opportunity.
Nancy Stone I am very much interested in this Seminar but I have previous plans on that date. I would like to know if you might be planning another meeting in the near future? I would like to attend. I’m so sorry I have to miss this one. Would you please contact me if you do? Good evening,
My name is Sharon Watson and I am the Kitchen Administrator for First United Methodist Church Coral Gables.
Our pastor passed on the flyer and information regarding your upcoming seminar on Saturday August 23rd and we have 3, possibly 4 of us interested in attending.
Our church Administrator, whom would normally put in for the issuance of a check for registration, is out on medical issues for a week or so, so I will have to look into how to get a church check issued for our Registration.
I did though, want to respond that we are planning to attend, and looking forward to the event. We will be driving from Coral Gables that morning to attend, and will leave to drive back........it will be a long day, but I'm sure, worth the time and trip!
Is there any other information you need from me at this point? If not, just know we have 3 of us planning to attend, and plan on inviting one other regular kitchen worker.
Thanks for putting this together, it sounds great!
Sharon Watson
Hello Michael,
Chuck - We are working on posting the recipes (along with our normal kitchen duties) and should have them posted here within a week or so.
Thanks for the queston,
- Mike

Let me know what your thoughts are.

Thanks for your comments. At this time our goal is to build an organization from the ground up, that directly supports people like yourself. It's easiest to do that (at this time) as an independent organization, until our future is clearly defined.

We on the east coast were unable to attend the kitchen seminar Aug. 23 due to TS Fay. Are you planning to hold the event another time?

Belinda - Yes!!!! Our goal was to hold this seminar and see how the participants would respond. By the response we received, the seminar is now becoming kitchenministry.com, a program with unlimited upward potential.

I am interested in attending the upcoming “FIRST EVER” Kitchen Operations Seminar. I am currently Director of Food Service at Lakewood United Methodist Church in Jacksonville.
With the current conditions of our economy, ever rising food cost while maintaining high standards of quality, are a great concern of our specific niche in food service.
I look forward to sharing ideas and fellowship.
Is the proposed cost payable at the day of seminar or required payment ahead?
Looking forward to this wonderful opportunity…
Thanks…
